Well, before (a) Jeff would end up back on Earth, the series would deliver one of their more anomalistic episodes, with the entire endeavor set on an alien spaceship and focused on Jeff. Hayley would experience a lengthy separation from her spouse leaving audiences to wonder if we’d ever be seeing the return of him. The series would play around with serialization to some extent by having Jeff get abducted by Roger’s species. In terms of “big” American Dad episodes, this one is certainly on the Mt. This is just a good example of how to have fun with Roger letting loose, while also incorporating a strong stable of absurd visual gags that keep the episode perpetually unpredictable. On top of that, the installment also gets to have too much fun with Roger running amok in Bad Lieutenant mode, rising the ranks from trainee, to cop, to crooked cop before you have time to snort a line of coke. Mama Bear: Hayley is willing to shoot Stan to save Nemo, even if he is the Antichrist. It’s debatable, but I’d argue that “Cops and Roger” has the funniest visual gag to ever come out of American Dad (and I’d go as far as saying that it’s also one of the most surprising, satisfying gags in the history of animated sitcoms) and so for that honor alone this episode deserves mad accolades.Mall Santa: Due to being overweight, Stan is left with this position instead of the role of Jesus. ![]() Knight Templar Parent: Hayley is willing to shoot Stan in the head for trying to kill Nemo.Kick the Dog: Roger insults one of his co-stars by calling her ugly.Karma Houdini: Hayley does not get arrested for shooting Stan and allowing the Antichrist to unleash his reign of terror again.even though he was the one who gave him the name in the first place. Insane Troll Logic: Jeff realizes that Nemo is the Antichrist because his name is 'Omen' spelled backwards.Idiot Ball: Hayley ignores all the obvious facts about Nemo and unwittingly allows the latter to unleash his reign of terror again by relocating him instead of letting Stan take care of it.Honor Before Reason: Hayley shoots Stan to stop him from killing Nemo.Roger: Ahh!! You dumb son of a.! No, that's not who Roland is. Fingore: Stan stabs Roger's right hand with the sacred daggers by accident.Epic Fail: Just as he is about to finish the Antichrist, Stan ends up misfiring and accidentally stabs Roger's right hand.Enfant Terrible: Nemo, the Antichrist, kills several people and plans to unleash his terror upon the world.Hayley shooting Stan because the latter tried to kill the Antichrist to save the world qualifies as well.Stan assaults Roger on the stage simply because he got the role of Jesus while he himself was rejected from it.Hayley seems oblivious to his malicious nature, despite all the evidence being right in front of her.
